About Us
HackJPS is a virtual 4-day hackathon that is being led by students from JP Stevens High School from
September 18 to September 21, 2020. We are open to both high school and middle school students, and
participation is not limited to those with a large background in programming - we hope to draw students
from all skill levels, and even encourage participants who have not programmed before. In fact, given that
our event is now virtual due to Covid-19, we have no limit on capacity so we really want a lot of people
to try out this unique experience. Ultimately, HackJPS will be a really fun experience for students - we
will have fun online minigames, music rooms, learning rooms, and other ways for participants to mingle
amongst themselves.

What is a hackathon?
A Hackathon is an event where students passionate about STEM come together to create a “hack” in teams.
